On this day – November 9th 1888 – was Jack the
Ripper’s final victim murdered
Mary Jane Kelly was
found murdered in London in 1888 and she is believed to be the notorious mass-murderer,
Jack the Ripper, last victim. Kelly was around 25 when she was murdered and she
worked at a brothel in London. She was found in the morning on November 9th
by her landlords assistant. Her corpse had been horrible mutilated, even worse
than the women who had previously been murdered. Jack the Ripper is believed to
have killed five victims, but the cases was never solved. The murderer got the
name, Jack the ripper, in a letter written by someone who claimed to be the
killer, but the letter was probably written by the media to increase sales. It
is believed that Jack the Ripper stopped killing because he either died or were
imprisoned, but because he was never caught, no one knows for sure. The story have
been used as background for several books and movies, TV-shows, artworks and computer
games.
