McDonald's was founded in California, USA in 1940 as a bbq restaurant by the brothers Richard and Maurice McDonald. The restaurant was named "McDonald's Bar-B-Que". It wasn't until 1948 that the restaurant was reorganized as a burger stand with production line principles in place. The big Mac was introduced in 1968, and by tat time had the McDonalds brothers been bought out of the firm, McDonalds had become a stock-market company and the chain restaurant had established itself in several american states.Today McDonald's operate restaurants in 119 countries all around the world.
